The School Log Book 16th September 1872
Opened these schools in the presence of the Reverend S York, Vicar of the parish – who said prayers. Busy all morning classing the children – let them take the usual time for break (a quarter of an hour):- not many children present owing to the potato gathering. My sister took the sewing in the afternoon and helped in the morning with the infants -John Tyrrell (Headmaster)
16th September 2005
Rt Revd Colin Fletcher, Bishop of Dorchester officially opened our new school buildings in the presence of the pupils, staff, representation from the Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council, local parishes and the design team. We also celebrated the 133rd birthday of Fritwell C.E. School - Clare Critchley (Headteacher)
In February 2007 Fritwell Church of England Primary School was found to be "outstanding" in every area by OFSTED
